Rotary Ems Baseball/BBQ/Fireworks at PK Park
The sky was blue, the astroturf was green,
the temperature was HOT!, and the Hillsboro Hops’ bats were mean.
Our Rotary group was small but mighty,
when the Ems were up we cheered “Alrighty!”
Our cheers were for naught though, the Ems weren’t in their prime.
As the fireworks flashed, we thought maybe next time!

We had burgers and beer – maybe more than one cup!
The camaraderie was best, good stories were told
The 4th of July game somehow never gets old!
We’ll have two more years, at least that’s what they say,
Then Sluggo and Squatch, they’ll be off and away.
It’s been 69 years since the Em’s said “Play Ball!”
Players came and went, but every one gave us their all.
