I have included an email received from the President of Rotary International last week, that tells us the African region is certified Polio free (the only known cases left are in Afghanistan and Pakistan). Many of you saw this in the national news last week. This is a truly noteworthy milestone, and all of you who have donated to the Rotary Foundation in the last few years are part of this success. Dave Frosaker and his team (Mike Ritchey, Jay Silverman and others) have done a great job helping us meet our TRF goals in recent years, encouraging donations to this worthy cause. Thank you all!

Also received notification from District 5110 on calling for Nominations for the 2023-24 District 5110 Governor. If you have someone you want to consider please contact me soonest (at least by September 9th) and I can help you with the process. Formal nominations close on September 23, 2020. If you have any questions about the process, please contact me.

Lastly we have another exciting program this week from Mo Jemmali, the Director of the Mathnasium of Eugene as we continue to focus on youth education. Thanks again to the Program Committee for continuing to give us quality programs.

Best Regards,

Tom Gilmour (Tomaroo)
