Peace Builder

Purpose is to expand awareness of and connection to peace-related issues and activities both locally and globally. To support Rotary International goals, and ensure the growth of peace in our world for the benefit of all.
The Rotary Club of Eugene will identify opportunities and participate in programs that the club supports in local peace efforts.  In the past that has included the installation and maintenance of the Nobel Peace Park in Alton Baker Park; hosting recognized experts to speak in a club program our club; co-sponsoring Peace Essay competitions; celebrating International Peace Month by participating in Eugene/Springfield Peace Week by hosting a display showing the Rotary International Peace Scholarships program and the many Rotary Service Projects that contribute to peace in the local community.
